Getting there

The Cable Factory is located in Ruoholahti, Helsinki, at the address Tallberginkatu 1. A map is available on the Cable Factory’s own web page. You can get there in many ways. Due to the limited and expensive parking space, we recommend using public transportation. You can also walk from the city center. At a relaxed pace, the walk should take about 30 minutes.

By car

The Cable Factory can be easily accessed by public transport, so we recommend leaving your car at home or your hotel. There is some parking space in the neighborhood of the Cable Factory, but for out-of-towners, parking and driving in Helsinki requires an adventurous spirit and nerves of steel.

By metro

The metro will take you nearly to the front door: Ruoholahti is the westernmost of the currently existing metro stations. No matter what station you board at, take the line heading west. The metro station is located at a walking distance of about 500 meters from the Cable Factory. When travelling by metro, remember to buy a ticket before going down to the platform! The penalty fare (80 €) can be issued even on the escalator. If you arrive in Helsinki by train, you can catch the metro directly from the station tunnel. If you take a bus to Kamppi, there is also a metro station in the shopping center.

When you get out of the metro, continue along Itämerenkatu in the same direction. Turn left when you get to Länsisatamankatu. The Cable Factory is located in front of you to the right.

By tram

This summer tram number 8 does not pass the Cable Factory; instead, for the last parts of its round, it has been replaced by bus 8X. For those who would be coming by tram, you can switch from tram to bus as shown in: http://www.hsl.fi/FI/mikaonhsl/Documents/Tiedoteliitteet/8X_korvaa_8n_0107_3107_2013.pdf

By bus

The Cable Factory can be reached by buses 15, 20, 21v, 65A and 66A. For more information and schedules, click here.
